Mondo di cristallo
Swarovski Crystal World

Close to Innsbruck, the small village of Wattens hides a fantastic universe, this time a human marvel, not a nature’s work.
It’s the Swarovski Kristallwelten, a spectacular collection created by the multimedia artist Andre Heller, that can be visited all days from 9 am to 18 pm. The protagonists of the exhibition are the famous crystals created at the end of 1895 by Daniel Swarovski, using a revolutionary cutting system to engrave crystal. Mice and teddy bears, ear rings and necklaces, candle-holders and clocks, clowns and crystal dancers twinkle in the spacious hall of the museum, for the joy of the numerous lovers who founded a world club.
A huge giant with crystal eyes welcomes visitors at the entrance, and the marvel continues inside, in the twilight of the rooms. Here the crystal becomes a living object, thanks to the interaction of light, sound and architecture.
