Dry biscuits of different flavours and the classical strudel stand next to almond sweets and cakes made with rum, cinnamon and coconut. It is very common to see people hanging around in Christmas markets, while eating a typical sweet made with a spit of mixed fruit covered with chocolate. Beside food, liquors and wines are also sold. As winter can be very cold in this area, many of the open air tables are provided with stoves, where people can stop by eating hot dogs with cabbage or onions and sipping vin brulé.
